About

Professional, human, and reflective. I integrate a person-centred ethos with gentle, practical structure.

Who I am

I’m Mike Rimmer — a counsellor and supervisor based in Warrington, offering both in-person and online sessions. My work is rooted in a humanistic, person-centred ethos that values each person’s unique way of being. I believe that healing and growth happen through understanding, compassion and the freedom to explore without judgement.

How we’ll work

In our sessions, you’ll find a calm, reflective space to make sense of what’s happening, to reconnect with your own wisdom, and to discover ways forward that feel authentic and sustainable. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, with clarity and collaboration throughout.

Counselling

A space to pause, reflect, and understand yourself more deeply.

Person-centred

You set the pace. I walk alongside you with empathy, honesty and respect. Together we explore patterns, emotions and experiences in a way that feels grounded and manageable.

Trauma-informed & neurodiversity-affirming

I work with awareness of how nervous systems, contexts and differences shape experience. The therapeutic relationship offers safety, curiosity and honest dialogue.

Flexible access

Sessions are available online or in person in Warrington, shaped around what feels most supportive for you.

Supervision

A collaborative, reflective space to deepen awareness and sustain ethical practice.

Seven-Eyed Model

I draw on relational/systemic perspectives to attend to client work, process, context and practitioner wellbeing.

Support & challenge

A balance of warmth and accountability — space to think, feel, and translate insight into practice.

Grounded & respectful

Supervision relationships built on mutual respect, curiosity and care — with attention to identity, ethics and sustainability.
